Character Name: Michelangelo "Mikey" Carroll
Character Age: 30.
Character Played By: Chris Pratt.

Character History and Personality: Mr. and Mrs. Carroll were of the quiet variety, high school sweethearts that married right out of college. Born and raised in Seattle, they both possessed a laid-back, kind but hardworking sort of attitude that served them both well throughout the years. He was a computer programmer; she was a teacher. They loved each other immensely, in that sweet sort of way that most people dreamed of when they were younger. They collaborated, they created, and they lived their happy, happy lives so fully. It was something that they tried their very best to impart on their four children -- that gratitude, that hard work, that sense of family.

Mikey was the second of four, the second son. Mr. Carroll, a nerdy sort of man and an avid fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (yes, seriously), named his four children after each of the turtles. And, funnily enough, each kid seemed to fit the personality. And while his parents were quiet and kept to themselves more often than not, Mikey was never built that way. He was the life of the party and everyone's best friend. Rambunctious and attention-seeking from day one, he was the joker (and the heart) of the family. Brightness, perpetual smiles, warmth. He was the type of kid to make sure that everyone was playing in the school yard, that the kids who were usually picked last got first on his team, that played sports but rarely got too competitive. Mikey was so far from the sharpest tool in the shed, not like his parents or the other Carroll children, and he sure as hell didn't apply himself in school like he could have. But he made it up in other ways. He loved people, he loved helping, and goddamn did he love his family, especially his younger brother Leo. Fiercely protective and immensely supportive of all his siblings, but especially of him.

At the University of Washington, he didn't do too well academically either, but he made plenty of friends and joined the football team. And, he was good, really good as offensive tackle. There were recruiters, there were scholarships, and there was whispers of professional. He played all four years, caring for his grades only enough to keep from getting kicked off the team, and he was ready. But then, it fell through; he simply wasn't recruited by any teams. Mikey was really bummed out for a couple of months, and spent a lot of time hanging around his mom and pop's just helping out. It was a dream, and the dream was gone, and now he had no damn idea what he wanted to do with his life.

One night, over drinks, a friend from college suggest he look into firefighting. Mikey had always been interested in the job, and he'd volunteered a bunch at different firehouses in the city when he was a kid. Why the hell not? By then, he'd graduated college and moved past the whole football thing (not his passion for the game, just his dream of being part of it). He bounced back pretty quickly from setbacks. So, he trained and trained and studied just enough and trained some more. During this time, he dated a real sweet girl named Wren, who was a knockout with clear baggage. Mikey tried his best to be there for her, but in the end it just didn't work out. They split amicably when Wren decided to leave Seattle.

Passing his recruitment exams became the utmost focus after that, and once he passed those, getting through the pre-employment process was the priority. And, he did well. Really well. Surprisingly well, to some. So, he was accepted, and he was a great goddamn firefighter. A little too reckless at times, and there were plenty of close calls, but he tried his best to get the job done and save as much as he could. He loved the job, really, and realized that he was much happier in his firehouse than he would have been on any football team in the NFL. He applied himself a lot, and when he wasn't with his family or out with friends, he was back in that firehouse. Spending time with his second family. He began working on the requirements to become lieutenant of his company this year.

Of course, that was until one morning he woke up, and he just wasn't in his bed. Or some girls' bed. Or on his parents' couch. He was in a dingy hotel lobby that wouldn't let him leave with a key and a new phone in his hand and a storage unit with his name on it and his puppy sitting in it waiting for him. WTF?

Journal/Key: Journal is an iPhone 5C in green. Key is his key to the firehouse.

External Door items: His degrees and work experience as a firefighter (and subsequently, a job at the same firehouse as Clementine and Declan); a savings account with about $7000 in it; his rescue dog, Captain; a picture album of his mom, pop, and siblings.

Storylines;

DUDEBROS: Guys and gals he can hang out with, have a brewski, and watch the game.
SIBLINGS: Mikey has an older brother and a younger sister, also named after TMNT.
THE PAST: People from before the hotel. Classmates, exes, friends, not-so-friends.
